KIMBERLY - GROUP FITNESS, PERSONAL TRAINING, & INSPIRATION

Kimberly is passionate about inspiring and empowering others to become their best through healthy living. She has always enjoyed working-out, however, during 2012 Kimberly intensified her work-outs and competed in bodybuilding shows.  On August 23, 2014,  at the age of 45, she competed in the Drug Free Athletes Coalition Natural Pride Body Building Show, and was named the Fitness Model Overall Champion!  Her fitness journey proves that you can accomplish anything your heart desires.  Kimberly is currently a Spokesperson for PTO Natural Hair Therapy (ptohair.com) and to date she has competed in 4 bodybuilding shows and 1 powerlifting competition.


She created Kimberly Inspiring Beauty in Strength to pursue two of her passions, fitness and helping others build a beautiful balanced mind, body, and soul.   Kimberly was featured on the cover of Healthy & Fit Magazine (December 2014).  On November 13, 2016, The Lansing State Journal  named Kimberly as one  of the 5 Entrepreneurs to watch in Lansing! Kimberly teaches several  fitness classes in her community, which include 3 Large Group and 2 Small Group at Go Workout Fitness Center,  a 60+ Senior Fitness class at Trinity A.M.E. Church and Michigan State University Group Fitness (onsite "Lunchtime Series" for designated staff).


Kimberly graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Lansing Community College with a General Associates Degree. She served as an At-Large Board Member for the City of Lansing Board of Zoning and Appeals for a number of years, and was recently appointed as the 1st Ward Member of the City of Lansing Park Board.  Kimberly is a columnist for Healthy & Fit Magazine, Mid-Michigan's Original Health and Fitness Publication.


She is a former Board Member of the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition where she served as Board President and Chairperson of the Fund Development Committee.  Kimberly also served as Board President for Capital Area Academy, a former Lansing charter school, and is a previous member of the Women's Council of Realtors.  Kimberly spent over 20 years working in her family business, Kilimanjaro Fashions & Jewelry and  worked in Bank Management for a number of years. However, her true passion is health and wellness.  She resides in Lansing with her husband Brian Whitfield, a talented Artist and Graphic Designer for the Michigan Department of Transportation.  They have a lovely daughter, Kamryn Kimbri'  who is currently a student at Johnston & Wales University pursing a degree in Culinary Arts & Nutrition.  Kimberly looks forward to sharing her knowledge and testimony with clients and helping them achieve their goals.

ONE-ON-ONE PERSONAL TRAINING

Our Personal Training team is comprised of some of the industry’s finest fitness professionals available to provide guidance for any age, skill set, existing medical condition or sport specific need. Finding the most appropriate Personal Trainer for your individual needs is important to us. We will make every effort to provide an inspiring, positive and results driven experience.

To get to know us a little bit better come in for a complimentary introduction session! During your introduction session you will meet with one of our Fitness Managers to determine your current fitness level and your goals. The Fitness Manager will pair you with a personal trainer that he or she thinks is best suited to help you meet these goals and go over possible training packages with you.

One-on-one personal training gives you the fitness advantage you’ve been looking for and the personal attention you deserve while reaching your fitness goals with just you and your trainer. Your trainer will teach you all you need to know to get your body in optimum shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle through private sessions.


GROUP TRAINING

Group personal training is a fantastic addition to private personal training. Always on the cutting edge of group fitness, XGT classes are high energy, fun and challenging and the added motivation of having others working out with you pushes you to a new level.

At the core of XGT exists a Daily Workout designed to save you from mindless routines many of us encounter in the gym. In the short amount of time it takes, XGT daily workouts will take you through several rounds of exercises to guarantee maximum effectiveness. It’s faster and more results-driven, than your typical gym experience.
